STCW Advanced Safety Training for Officers (A-VI/2-1,3,4-1)

Objective

The purpose of this course is that participants will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes to take command of the rescue craft / operate motor / have responsibility for the survivors and craft, lead the fire-fighting operations on the ship / organize and train the fireteam / inspect and maintain equipment / investigate incidents, and to give first aid immediately in case of accident or illness on board.

Target group

The course is directed to all ship officers and others who have management responsibilities for emergency functions aboard the ship.

Course content

-Competence in the use of survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats overboard (Coxswain) (Table A-VI/2-1)
-Competence in the management of fire-fighting organization, tactics, command (table A-VI / 3-1)
-Competence in medical first aid (Table A-VI/4-1)
